OCEAN CITY, MD

LOOPING STAR

This small single loop steel coaster would score higher if it was a little bigger and longer.  But the ride you get is still pretty good considering you're at the beach and you can smell Thrasher's fries cooking around the corner.  One loop and done.

TIDAL WAVE

This  is a "boomerang" style coaster  (it runs through 3 inversions, up a steep incline and then returns in reverse).  The big bonus is it offers a fantastic view of Ocean City (not to mention a great sensation riding backwards).

TOBOGGAN

For kiddies this ride is a ten, so we couldn't resist.  You sit on the floor of the coaster with your legs straight out and proceed up a 90 degree incline inside a rocket.  After circling down and dropping into a bone crunching dip, you may not stop laughing until the ride is long over.

WHITE CAT

A new mini steel ride in Jolly Roger Amusement Park was quite a lame excuse for a coaster.  Our first clue to the quality of this one was seeing the operator having to push cars manually through the station.  The trains moved so slowly that we nearly didn't reach the top of the second hill.  Stay away from this lemon.
